Shelf-Stable Cocktails - Orange Juice in Clear Drinking Glass

I'm a home brewer looking to can up shelf-stable cocktails to share with friends who don't drink beer. I know I'll be using Citric/Malic acid to mimic citrus flavors, but will that be enough to make fruit syrups shelf-stable? Or is there another step to making the syrups stay as well? Hoping to keep these good for 6mo-1yr. Thanks!

How do you make a shelf-stable cocktail?

A Few Good Batched Cocktail Options:
  • Margarita.
  • Sidecar.
  • French 75.
  • Negroni.
  • Boulevardier.
  • Manhattan.
  • Sazerac (this would require an Absinthe rinse per glass)

What cocktails can be pre batched?

Ready to drink bottled cocktails can be enjoyed up to three months after they have been purchased. Industry-standard bottled cocktails (like the ones we make) will have been expertly mixed by professionals and will have a longer shelflife, meaning you can enjoy your cocktail weeks after it has been mixed.

How long do premixed cocktails last?

Good to bottle for occasions - cocktails with any sort of juice, citrus, or sugar/syrups (specifically in combination with citrus) are okay to bottle for 1-3 days max (3 days being pretty generous - depending on the ingredients mixed).
