taking a tart out of a glass dish

taking a tart out of a glass dish - From above of tasty baked desserts near cup of aromatic espresso on stone table

I'm looking to make a tart like this or like this but I don't have those tart pans that have the removable bottom, I've only got a glass dish.

I'm wanting to take the tart out of the dish and put it on a plate once it's done but I'm not sure how I'll be able to do that. Can I line the glass dish with some baking paper or something so I can pull it out of the dish once it's done, or something?

thanks

You can line a typical pie pan with parchment paper.

Cut a precise circle to cover the bottom, than a precise rectagle or trapezoid to fit the side. You can use a tiny bit of butter or shortening to stick the parchment paper to the pan and keep it in place.

Once it is cooked, you can work a knife then a spatula or two under the paper and lift it all out in one go.

This is the technique I use making a tartine or even when using a springform pan, because it makes keeping the dish intact relatively much easier.

Quick Answer about "taking a tart out of a glass dish"

If possible let the strips extend over and out of the sides of the tart dish. Once your tart is ready it will shrink leaving a space between itself and pan sides. When the tart is cool enough to handle insert a blunt knife or spatula under the pie carefully and use the overhang lining to lift the pie out.

How do you remove tart from glass?

Place the tart on the object, and carefully slide the ring off the tart and down the stand. Then all you have to do is take down the tart and slide the tart off the bottom round and onto a plate (or serve it on the metal round if you are nervous).

How do you get tart out of a tart dish?

Pyrex: Glass heats slowly and allows heat to build gradually and spread evenly, so my Pyrex tends to be my go-to plate. Bottom-crusts on fruit pies come out crisp and custards cook evenly.

Can you bake a tart in a glass dish?

Here's an easier way to unmold a tart. To remove the pan ring easily, place a wide can, such as a 28-ounce can of tomatoes, on the counter and set the cooled tart pan on top of the can. Hold the pan ring and gently pull it downward.
