How can I make delicious pastries in advance of serving day [closed] - Yummy Pastries on a Wooden Serving Board

I would like to make some amazing breakfast treats to serve at an event we are hosting but I am part of the event and will be very busy the whole week before. Does anyone have any ideas for pastries or something that are good for that?

Best Answer

Yeast donuts thaw beautifully (frozen while very fresh) but if you are amateur, scones are breakfasty and very thaw-friendly. A little powder sugar pattern will have everyone believing you just took off the apron that morning

How do you keep pastries fresh for the next day?

Cover your pastries individually in plastic wrap, being careful to wrap them up as tightly as possible without squashing them. Put them in a paper bag and then a zip-lock, squeezing out the air as before. If you have an airtight food storage container, put the whole thing in that.

Are pastries good next day?

Most baked goods keep well at room temperature. That goes for cookies and brownies (which can be stored in an airtight containers for up to five days) as well as muffins, breads, and pastries (which will start to stale in two to three days but will keep better here than anywhere else).

Can you make puff pastry ahead of time?

Can I prepare a recipe made with Puff Pastry ahead of time and bake it later? Yes, you can (with certain recipes). To simplify your day, you can prepare the recipe ahead of time, then bake as directed prior to serving.

What is the proper way to store baked pastries?

Freshly baked cakes, muffins, pastries, biscuits and loaves are best stored unfrosted. Allow to cool completely, then remove it from the baking container and place directly on a piece of plastic wrap. DO NOT put it on a plate before enclosing it in the plastic wrap. Tightly wrap the individual item in the plastic.
